Heavy-duty, flexible crystal clear acrylic construction is the foundation for this easy-to-use, professional three arm protractor. The arms of the three arm protractor are rigid enough to trace a bearing line.
The Three Arm Protractor is ideal for using to lay out course lines or plot fixes from multiple fixed positions obtained by a sextant or hand bearing compass. The translucency of the material allows for overlay on a chart with full visibility underneath. The center arm of the three arm protractor is fixed with two adjustable arms and a hole in the center of the compass rose for marking your position.
The Three Arm Protractor can be used to position and chart from three identifiable shore, landmark or buoy locations. Simply measure the angles on the protractor and locate your position on the chart.
