Collective agreement journal
The Collective Agreement Logbook category brings together documents and records relating to employment conditions and collective bargaining agreements applicable to seafarers on board ships. It covers collective agreements, working conditions, wages, working hours, leave, rest periods, social rights and obligations between shipowners and crews. Under the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, applicable collective agreements may form part of a seafarer’s employment agreement, and relevant documentation must be available on board under the applicable requirements. This documentation is intended for shipowners, Masters, deck officers, crew managers, fleet managers and maritime human resources professionals. It supports the documentary management of employment conditions, preparation for MLC inspections and verification of social and contractual requirements applicable to crews aboard merchant ships and other professional vessels operating on international shipping routes.
