Shom raster nautical chart Antarctic Ocean
The Shom marine GeoTIFF raster charts for the Antarctic Ocean are the digital versions of the official paper nautical charts, georeferenced for computer use. They are produced from the official data of the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (Shom). They retain the exact visual appearance of traditional charts — colors, symbols, and bathymetry. Available in GeoTIFF format (300 dpi), they are compatible with navigation and GIS software such as OpenCPN, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
The Antarctic Ocean area covers: Australia (Hobart, Casey, Davis, Mawson), New Zealand (Christchurch – Lyttelton, Scott Base Station), United Kingdom (Stanley, Rothera, Halley VI), Chile (Punta Arenas, Presidente Frei Station), Argentina (Ushuaia, Marambio, Esperanza), France (Port-aux-Français, Dumont d’Urville Station), Norway (Bouvet), South Africa (Cape Town)...
