The Shom raster GeoTIFF nautical charts for the Gulfs of Suez, Aden, Persia, Oman, and the Red Sea and Arabian Sea are the digital versions of the official paper nautical charts, georeferenced for computer use. They are produced from the official data of the French Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (Shom). They preserve the exact visual appearance of traditional charts — colors, symbols, and bathymetry.
