What is AIS?
The AIS system, Automatic Identification System or automatic identification system, is an automatic data exchange system (vessel position, MMSI, length, width, course, speed, types of surrounding vessels equipped with AIS transmitters), through the VHF marine radio band.
AIS will allow you to monitor vessels in your immediate environment and thus avoid collision routes.

Walkie talkies for boat
Walkie-talkies for crews navigating in pairs or with a reduced crew, and for professionals
When maneuvering on deck, it is not always easy to communicate as soon as the boat exceeds 10 m. and that the team members are far from the coxswain, especially if there is noise: waves, wind, engine, sails breaking, ...
Taking or raising a mooring, docking, reefing or simply lowering a sail can become complicated , even dangerous if the crew does not hear the coxswain's orders, or if the coxswain does not understand the crew members' instructions.
The solution is to equip hands-free walkie-talkies to finally understand each other easily.
in contact with a crew member on shore Walkie talkies are available in an unlicensed version, for boaters, and in a licensed version for professionals, allowing private channels and significantly higher power. These devices must be programmed to communicate on these dedicated channels.

BLU radio
For many boaters sailing around the world, a shortwave radio system is indispensable on board.
A SSB radio can be used for very long distances, it allows to receive weather reports, especially during crossings with difficult conditions.
SSB stands for Single Side Band. An SSB radio modulates a certain type of wave during transmission, also known as shortwave. Shortwave radio systems on board ships are part of the International Marine Distress and Safety System (SMDSS), established by the international SOLAS convention which defines standards relating to safety and the safeguard of human life in sea.

GPS connected beacon
GPS connected beacons allow you to geolocate a person or an object at any time, in real time, from a mobile phone, a tablet or a computer.
Simply place the beacon in a pocket, a bag or even attach it to your boat. They work without a SIM card. They require no installation or wiring. As soon as the beacon moves, it transmits the GPS position via the Sigfox network. The transmission frequency is adjustable: 2 minutes, 10 minutes (default value), 12 hours and 24 hours.
They have an alert button: simply press it and the beacon sends an SMS with the GPS position to a predefined contact (relative, friend, etc.).
What is Sigfox?
Very low speed and low consumption network, dedicated to connected objects, which is deployed in the frequency bands available worldwide without license.
Sigfox allows objects to communicate with each other through small messages (up to 140 12-byte messages per day) without going through a mobile phone.
The network covers 92% of French territory and is deployed in Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Germany, San Francisco (US) and DOM TOM; see Sifgox coverage site.
Network advantages:
- Low consumption
- Not scrambled
- Not detectable
- No roaming charges (roaming)
How does Sigfox work?
- Create your account on mytifiz.com or via the My Tifiz mobile application.
- Choose the formula adapted to your usage: prepaid cards or subscription from €3.40 incl. tax/month.
- Add, name and configure your Tifiz beacon(s): mobile phone number of the recipient of the geolocated SMS alert (only 1 possible) : text message content: notification emails (2 possible emails); surveillance perimeter...
- Activate and test the connection of your beacon with the Sgfox network and press the button.
What do I need?
A smartphone (IOS or Android) or a computer or a tablet with an internet connection or even a simple mobile phone capable of receiving an SMS (in this case, an alert only without location).
