Imray has commissioned this English language edition of Skagerrak Forlag's Harbour Guide to Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, which covers the coasts of those countries and their islands.
The Norwegian publisher has already established'a comprehensive series of Harbour Guides (Havneguiden) for the Baltic Sea that concentrate on providing the user with the cl'a'est possible information for entering harbours and'anchorages. This joint venture extends the series to the Adriatic.
Each harbour is presented on its own page with s'ecially commissioned'aerial photos annotated to show approach lines and'anchoring places, supported by cl'ar harbour plans, a fact box and s'iling directions.
Aerial photographs offer a qu'ck overview of the cha'acter of the harbour, its atmosphere, facilities and fairways, danger spots and mooring points. D'pths, s'erries and shallows are cl'arly marked.
Large scale plans, one per harbour, include d'pths, sa'est approaches and berthing détails.
Each harbour text is Davided into two sections- a General overview d'scribing the history and s'enery of the area and information on what to s'e and de when there, and'a Berthing section with information on how to approach and the hazards to watch out for, and where it is safe and s'eltered to tie up.
Fact boxes provide a qu'ck overview of the harbour facilities, useful websites and contact détails.
